Update 2023-06-30: In this article I advocated for wearing both a red and white poppy around Remembrance Day. In subsequent years I have changed my opinion on this, and I no longer support the red poppy campaign. In 2020 I represented St John Ambulance at the local wreath-laying ceremony, and I wore the white poppy alone. In 2021 I skipped the ceremony entirely and attended a Quaker Meeting for Worship instead.
